Mopar Splash Guards
My Garage
Splash guards, also called mud guards, protect your vehicle's paint and body from dirt, rocks, and debris kicked up by your tires. Need help installing mud guards? Here's a quick rundown.
How to Install Mud Guards on Your Jeep Wrangler
1. Gather Your Tools
At minimum, you’ll need a wrench, a screwdriver. Don’t forget to check if you need any additional fasteners or mounting hardware for the installation.
2. Lift the Vehicle
If your mud guards are attached to the lower part of the wheel wells, it might be easier to lift your Jeep Wrangler using a jack to give yourself more room to work. Be sure to use proper safety precautions.
3. Remove the Old Splash Guards
Remove any screws, bolts, or fasteners that are holding the old splash guard in place. If the guard is damaged or worn out, carefully detach it without causing damage to the wheel well.
4. Attach the New Splash Guards
Position the new splash guard against the wheel well and align it with the existing holes. Secure it with the screws or bolts provided, ensuring it is firmly attached and properly aligned.
5. Double-Check and Test
Once your new splash guard is in place, double-check all fasteners to make sure they’re tightened securely. Take your Jeep for a short test drive.
